(서울=연합뉴스) 이지헌 기자 = 국제 신용평가사 스탠더드앤드푸어스(S&P)는 7일 "한국 정부가 발행을 준비 중인 선순위 무담보 채권에 'AA' 장기 외화 채권등급을 부여했다"고 밝혔다.

S&P는 이날 보도자료를 내고 "본 채권은 한국 정부의 직접적, 일반적, 무조건적, 선순위 채무이며 정부의 다른 선순위 무담보 채권과 동등하게 취급된다"며 이처럼 밝혔다.

신용등급 AA는 S&P가 매긴 현재 한국의 국가 신용등급과 동일하다.

앞서 정부는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 대응을 위해 올해 1차 추가경정(추경) 예산에 10조3천억원, 2차 추경 예산에 3조4천억원, 3차 추경 예산에 23조8천억원의 국채 발행 계획을 각각 담았다.

최근에는 4차 추경 예산 편성을 공식화한 가운데 재원 전액을 적자 국채 발행으로 조달한다는 방침을 세웠다.

앞서 S&P는 지난 4월 한국의 장기 국가 신용등급을 'AA', 단기 국가 신용등급을 'A-1+'로 그대로 유지했다.

S&P는 2016년 8월 한국의 국가 신용등급을 'AA-'에서 'AA'로 한 단계 상향 조정한 이후 이를 유지해오고 있다. AA등급은 상위 3번째 투자등급이다.
