강원도 인제서 첫 ASF 바이러스 검출…총 706건 발생

(서울=연합뉴스) 김은경 기자 = 환경부는 강원도 인제군 인제읍 가아리 광역울타리 내에서 발견된 멧돼지 폐사체 1개체에서 아프리카돼지열병(ASF) 바이러스가 14일 검출됐다고 15일 밝혔다.

강원도 인제군에서 ASF 바이러스가 검출된 것은 이번이 처음이다.

이번 건을 포함해 14일 기준으로 ASF는 총 706건이 발생했다.

이번에 양성 확진된 개체는 경작 활동 중이던 마을 주민에 의해 밭 도랑에서 발견됐다.

폐사체 발견지점은 남방한계선에서 16㎞ 남쪽에 떨어진 마을과 농경지가 분포한 곳으로, 기존 발생지점에서는 동쪽으로 20㎞ 이상 떨어져 있다.

환경부는 이 지역이 오염 예상 지역인 남방한계선 주변 지역과 산악으로 연결돼 있어 ASF가 개체 간 전파되면서 확산했을 것으로 추정하고 있다.

환경부는 인제군에 울타리를 설치하는 등 주변 지역으로의 확산을 차단하기 위한 조치를 할 예정이다.

감염 멧돼지가 이동하지 못하도록 발견지점 주변을 둘러싸는 2차 울타리를 인제군과 협력해 신속히 설치한다.

특히 집중 강우로 침수 피해를 본 인제군 소양강변 광역울타리 구간은 임시 보강해둔 부분을 최우선으로 복구해 이남 지역으로의 확산을 차단할 계획이다.

또 감염확산 범위 및 추가 폐사체 여부를 확인하기 위해 양구군과 인제군의 수색 인력 20명을 발생지역인 대암산 일대에 투입해 집중 수색한다.

아울러 멧돼지 흔적 및 이동 길목 주변에 포획틀과 포획트랩을 설치하고 하천에서 폐사체 등 부유물 예찰을 강화할 방침이다.

환경부는 야생멧돼지 폐사체 발견 시 접근하지 말고 지방자치단체 등에 신속히 신고하는 한편 발생지역 인근 산지와 울타리 내 출입을 자제해달라고 당부했다.
