스위스 '코로나19 핫스팟' 제네바 "식당, 고객정보 기록해라"

(제네바=연합뉴스) 임은진 특파원 = 스위스에서 제네바의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확산세가 심상치 않자 지역 당국이 대응 조치를 강화하고 나섰다.

17일(현지시간) 현지 공영 방송 SRF에 따르면 제네바 칸톤(州) 정부는 코로나19 대응을 위해 18일부터 식당을 방문한 고객의 개인 정보 기록을 의무화한다고 밝혔다.

각 식당은 테이블당 혹은 그룹당 최소 고객 한 명의 이름과 연락처, 방문 날짜 같은 정보를 기록해야 한다.

이번 조치는 일단 9월 30일까지 진행된다.

앞서 연방 정부가 지난 5월 코로나19 감염자와 접촉한 사람을 추적하기 위해 이 같은 조치를 도입하려고 했으나, 개인 정보 보호에 위배된다는 비판이 일자 계획을 취소한 바 있다.

제네바 정부는 또 나이트클럽 영업 중단 조치를 다음 달 10일까지 연장했다.

당초 정부는 지난 1일 클럽의 영업을 중단하면서 기한을 23일까지로 정했으나, 이후 클럽의 주 고객인 젊은 층의 코로나19 감염이 이전보다 상대적으로 감소하자 이를 연장하기로 한 것이다.

아울러 개인적으로 여는 행사와 모임의 규모도 현행 300명 이하에서 100명 이하로 축소했다.

유엔 제네바 사무소와 세계보건기구(WHO) 등 각종 국제기구가 몰려 있는 제네바는 스위스에서 코로나19가 가장 빠르게 재확산하는 지역이다.

최근 스위스에서는 매일 신규 확진자가 200여 명씩 발생하는데 이 가운데 약 5분의 1 정도가 제네바에서 보고되고 있다.

이에 이달 초 벨기에 정부는 스위스의 26개 칸톤 가운데 제네바만 고위험 지역으로 분류하기도 했다.

현지 매체는 제네바를 오가는 유동 인구가 많은 데다 인구 밀집도가 스위스에서 바젤시에 이어 두 번째로 높기 때문이라고 분석했다.
