'코로나19 재확산' 베트남, 마이너스 성장 우려(종합)

(하노이=연합뉴스) 민영규 특파원 = 베트남에서 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)이 재확산하면서 올해 베트남이 마이너스(-) 경제성장을 할 수도 있다는 우려가 제기됐다.

베트남 보건부는 4일 코로나19에 28명이 새로 감염돼 누적 확진자가 670명으로 증가했다고 밝혔다.

이날 신규 확진자 가운데 27명은 지역사회 감염자로 분류됐고, 나머지 1명은 해외 유입 사례다.

이로써 지난달 25일 베트남에서 100일 만에 코로나19 국내 감염 사례가 처음으로 나온 뒤 최초 발생지인 다낭 등 9개 지역에서 222명이 지역사회 감염으로 확진 판정을 받았다.

또 이날 다낭에서 60대 남녀 확진자 2명이 목숨을 잃어 누적 확진자는 8명으로 늘었다.

이에 따라 당국은 9∼10일 90만명가량이 치르는 고교 졸업시험을 예정대로 추진하되 다낭 등 봉쇄령이 내려진 곳의 수험생은 다음에 일정을 다시 잡아 시험을 보도록 할 계획이다.

또 남부 경제중심지 호찌민시는 5일부터 공공장소에서 마스크를 착용하지 않으면 벌금을 부과하기로 하는 등 지역별로 감염 확산 방지에 총력전을 펴고 있다.

이런 가운데 수도 하노이시에서는 다낭을 다녀온 시민 전원을 대상으로 코로나19 검사를 진행하려 했으나 7만여명을 검사한 뒤 신속 진단 키트가 동나는 일이 발생, 나머지 1만8천명가량에는 증상이 있으면 의료시설을 방문하도록 안내했다.

응우옌 득 타인 전 베트남경제정책연구소(VEPR) 소장은 "지역사회 감염자 증가로 성장 동기가 약화하면 베트남은 올해 마이너스 성장을 기록할 것"이라고 말했다고 온라인 매체 VN익스프레스가 전했다.

그는 또 "주요 경제 중심지들이 봉쇄될 경우 경제성장률 제로(0)를 달성하는 것도 대성공"이라며 "마이너스 성장을 최소화하는 방법을 찾을 필요가 있다"고 지적했다.

VEPR는 지난달에는 베트남의 올해 성장률을 2.2∼3.8%로 전망했다.

경제전문가인 응우옌 찌 히에우도 "하노이시와 호찌민시 등 주요 도시에서 코로나19 확진자가 증가한다면 마이너스 성장 가능성이 있다"면서 "8월이 중요하다"고 밝혔다.

반면 쩐 토 닷 국립경제대 총장은 "베트남 경제는 올해 상반기 1.8% 성장했고, 지난 4월 많은 경제활동을 제한했는데도 2분기(4∼6월)에 0.36% 성장을 이뤘다"면서 "현재 불확실성이 많기 때문에 경제성장률을 예측하는 것은 어려운 과제"라고 신중한 반응을 보였다.

닷 총장은 또 "이번에 사회적 거리 두기가 다시 시행된다고 하더라도, 베트남은 이전 경험으로부터 배웠을 것이기 때문에 충격이 덜 심각할 수도 있다"고 말했다.
