신현준 "큰 충격…나 역시 힘들었지만 밝히지 않겠다"(종합)

매니저 부당대우 폭로에 입장…매니저發 스타 갑질 폭로전 양상도

(서울=연합뉴스) 이정현 기자 = 배우 신현준(51)이 전(前) 매니저 김모 대표가 자신으로부터 '갑질'을 당했다고 폭로한 데 대해 "큰 충격을 받았고, 나 역시 서운하거나 힘든 점이 많지만 자세히 밝히지는 않겠다"고 입장을 냈다.

신현준은 9일 소속사를 통해 "풀지 못한 응어리나 불만이 있었다면 직접 만나서 대화를 가질 수 있었는데 아쉽다"며 "김 대표는 매니저이기 전에 스무살 때부터 알고 지낸 동갑내기 친구였다. 얼마나 격식 없이 지냈겠느냐"고 설명했다.

그러면서 "'이 자식아' 같은 호칭은 허물없이 자연스러웠고 그 친구도 역시 그렇게 대했다"며 "또 친구 사이라 서로의 어머니께도 자주 인사드렸고, 김 대표 가족 중 아픈 분을 위해 개별적 도움을 주기도 했다"고 강조했다.

이어 김 대표는 신현준의 매니저 일을 그만둔 지 6~7년이 지났고, 그만둔 후 연락이 두절됐다고 신현준 측은 밝혔다.

앞서 김 모 대표는 연예매체 스포츠투데이에 13년간 부당대우를 받았다고 주장했다.

그는 신현준과 일하면서 월급을 적정 수준으로 받지 못했고, 폭언과 신현준 가족의 갑질에도 시달렸다고 호소하며 신현준과의 카카오톡 채팅 내용을 공개하기도 했다.

이에 대해 신현준 측은 "매니저가 20여 명이라는 보도도 사실이 아니다. 현재 같이 생활하는 코디, 메이크업 등 스태프는 모두 10년 이상 변함없이 관계를 맺어오고 있는 소중한 동료"라고 했다.

이어 "이런 상황에 대해 많은 분께 심려를 끼쳐 송구하다. 앞으로 더욱 성실하게 임하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

최근 원로배우 이순재의 전 매니저가 부당대우를 폭로한 데 이어 신현준까지 휘말리면서 이번 이슈가 과거 미투(Me Too)처럼 폭로전으로 번지지 않을까 하는 전망도 나온다.

다만 이순재의 경우 말 그대로 스타 가족의 부당대우에 반발한 폭로였다면, 신현준의 사례는 개인적인 금전 관계도 얽힌 문제에서 비롯한 것으로 알려졌다.

한편, 신현준은 조만간 KBS 2TV 스타 가족 예능 '슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다'에 출연하기로 돼 있어 방송에 차질을 빚을지도 우려된다.

KBS는 이번 일과 관련해 아직 입장을 내놓지 않고 있다.
