30개 일본기업, 중국서 동남아로 이전…절반은 베트남

(하노이=연합뉴스) 민영규 특파원 = 중국에 진출한 30개 일본 기업이 일본 정부의 자금지원을 받아 동남아시아 국가로 이전하고, 이 가운데 절반이 베트남으로 옮기는 것으로 알려졌다.

20일 베트남 온라인 매체 VN익스프레스에 따르면 일본무역진흥기구(JETRO)는 지난 17일 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 사태에 따른 해외 공급망 다변화 지원 사업의 1차 공모에 채택돼 중국에서 태국, 베트남, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 필리핀, 라오스, 미얀마 등으로 이전하는 일본 기업 30개 명단을 발표했다.

JETRO는 또 일본 정부가 이전 기업들에 1억∼50억엔(약 11억2천만∼560억4천만원)을 지원할 것이라고 밝혔다.

이 가운데 절반인 15개 기업은 베트남(태국, 라오스로 분산 이전 포함)으로 이전할 예정이다.

또 의료 장비 생산 업체가 대다수인 베트남 이전 기업 가운데 6개는 대기업이고, 9개는 중소기업으로 분류됐다.

그러나 이 기업들이 중국에서 공장을 완전히 이전할지, 일부만 이전할지는 명확하지 않다고 VN익스프레스는 전했다.

블룸버그 통신은 이와 별개로 아이리스 오야마와 샤프를 비롯해 57개 중국 진출 일본 기업이 본국으로 공장을 이전하는 데 일본 정부가 574억엔(약 6천435억원)을 지원할 예정이라고 최근 보도했다.
