(목포=연합뉴스) 조근영 기자 = 라이프칼라 사진관 김광영 대표가 전남 목포시 도시재생사업을 위해 사용해 달라며 본인 소유 부동산(1억4천만원 상당)을 기부했다.

평소 남다른 봉사 정신으로 나눔 활동을 펼쳐온 김광영 대표는 50여년간 사진관을 운영하며 형편이 어려운 관내 어르신 600여명의 영정사진을 무료 촬영해줬다.

코로나19로 어려움을 겪는 소상공인에게 임대료를 감면해 주는 등 이웃사랑의 참뜻을 실천하고 있다.

김광영 대표는 8일 "우리의 삶은 혼자 앞서나가기보다 이웃과 함께 발맞춰 갈 때 더 의미 있다고 생각한다"면서 "저의 나눔이 지역민과 시의 발전에 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다"고 전했다.

김종식 목포시장은 "코로나 일상에 지치고 힘든 시기에 펼쳐진 김광영 대표의 이번 선행은 우리 지역사회에 귀감이 되고 있다"며 "기부한 부동산은 도시재생사업을 위한 공간으로 잘 활용해 목포의 도시브랜드 경쟁력을 높이는 데 의미 있게 사용하겠다"고 말했다.

목포시는 원도심 일대에 도시재생사업을 진행하며 도시 균형 발전과 근대역사문화공간 관광화 등 특색 있는 관광자원 개발을 위해 힘쓰고 있다.
