정부 "거리두기 효과 '가시화'…재연장 여부 이번 주말께 결정"

(서울=연합뉴스) 김예나 김철선 기자 = 최근 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확산 속도가 둔화하는 양상을 보이는 데 대해 정부는 '사회적 거리두기' 효과가 가시화하고 있다고 평가했다.

수도권에서의 강화된 방역 조치, 즉 '2.5단계' 거리두기가 한차례의 연장을 거쳐 종료 기한이 일주일도 채 남지 않은 만큼 당분간 상황을 보고 이번 주말쯤 재연장 혹은 종료 여부를 최종적으로 결정할 방침이다.

윤태호 중앙사고수습본부 방역총괄반장은 8일 정부세종청사에서 열린 정례 브리핑에서 "국민들의 적극적인 참여와 실천 덕분에 사회적 거리두기의 효과가 가시화되고 신규 확진자 발생 수가 6일 연속 100명대로 억제되고 있다"고 말했다.

윤 반장은 서울, 경기, 인천 등 수도권에서 발생한 지역발생 확진자 수를 언급하면서 "수도권의 경우, 국내 발생 확진자가 98명으로, 이틀째 두 자릿수를 유지하며 확산세가 진정되는 양상을 보이고 있다"고 강조했다.

윤 반장은 수도권의 거리두기 단계 조정 여부에 대해 "아직 (확진자 발생) 추이를 더 봐야 할 것 같다"면서도 "수도권의 강화된 2단계 조치를 어떻게 조정할지는 이번 주말쯤 최종적으로 결정하고 발표하지 않을까 싶다"고 말했다.

지난달 중순 수도권에서 사회적 거리두기 단계를 2단계로 올린 뒤 음식점, 카페 등을 점검한 결과에서도 대체로 방역 수칙이 잘 지켜지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

윤 반장은 "이달 6일까지 음식점 등 식당 20만곳을 점검한 결과 30곳에 대해서 행정명령 조처를 내렸고, 카페 등 커피·음료 전문점의 경우 1만1천곳을 점검해 행정지도 2건, 행정명령 2건 조치가 이뤄진 바 있다"고 설명했다.

현재 수도권에서는 강화된 2단계 방역 조처를 하는 만큼, 정부는 오는 13일까지 프랜차이즈 형 제과제빵점·아이스크림·빙수점에서 방역수칙이 제대로 지켜지고 있는지 점검할 방침이다.

윤 반장은 "점검 결과, 최근 거리두기와 방역 수칙 미준수로 인한 행정지도가 점차 감소하는 추세로 현장에서 잘 정착되고 있는 것으로 보인다. 앞으로도 현장 점검을 계속하면서 추석 명절 방역 관리 조치도 강화해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편, 대규모 집단감염이 발생했던 서울 성북구 사랑제일교회, 광복절 도심 집회 관련 검사도 꾸준히 이뤄졌다.

윤 반장은 "어제 오후 6시 기준으로 사랑제일교회의 경우, 4천569명 가운데 약 86%인 3천919명의 검사가 완료됐다. 교인 및 방문자 명부를 기준으로 했을 때 양성자는 560명이며 양성률은 14.6% 정도 된다"고 설명했다.

이어 그는 "8월 15일 서울 도심 집회 역시 관리 대상자 3만6천56명 가운데 79%인 2만8천336명이 검사를 끝냈고 280명이 양성 판정을 받았다. 양성률은 1% 정도 되며, 연락이 잘 안 되는 경우가 5천800여 명인 것으로 파악된다"고 말했다.
