(서울=연합뉴스) 신재우 기자 = 인턴과 레지던트 등 전공의들이 집단휴진을 접고 수련병원으로 속속 복귀하면서 9일 전공의 휴진율은 6.6%로 낮아졌다.

보건복지부는 이날 전공의 수련병원 200곳 가운데 156곳에서 근무 현황을 파악한 결과 소속 전공의 9천332명 중 616명(6.6%)이 근무를 하지 않은 사실을 확인했다.

전공의 휴진율은 전날(32.7%)보다 26.1%포인트 낮아진 것으로, 휴가나 비번, 업무 복귀 전 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 검사 일정 등을 고려할 때 대부분의 전공의가 현장에 복귀한 것으로 보인다.

이날 전임의(펠로)는 2천324명 중 41명이 근무를 하지 않아 휴진율은 1.8%로 집계됐다. 이는 전날(1.3%)과 비슷한 수준이다.

전공의와 전임의는 의과대학 정원 확대 등에 반발해 지난달 21일부터 집단휴진에 들어갔다.

이들은 대한의사협회와 정부·여당이 지난 4일 핵심 쟁점 현안에 대한 협상을 타결지은 이후에도 협상 내용과 방식에 불만을 표출하면서 현장 복귀를 미뤘다.

이에 대한전공의협의회(대전협) 비상대책위원회(비대위)가 격론 끝에 '8일 오전 7시 업무 복귀'를 결정했으나 이후에도 내부 반발이 이어졌고, 결국 새롭게 들어선 비대위가 이날 오전 7시 복귀를 결정하면서 단체행동은 일단락됐다.
