(상파울루=연합뉴스) 김재순 특파원 = 브라질의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 상황이 뚜렷한 진정세를 보이고 있다.

7일(현지시간) 브라질 보건부에 따르면 이날까지 누적 확진자는 전날보다 1만273명 많은 414만7천794명으로 집계됐다.

신규 확진자는 전날(1만4천521명)에 이어 이틀 연속 1만명대로 줄었다.

누적 사망자는 전날보다 310명 많은 12만6천960명으로 늘었다.

신규 사망자는 지난 3일부터 닷새 연속 1천명을 밑돌고 있다.

전체 확진자 가운데 80% 정도는 치료를 받고 회복됐다.

브라질의 누적 확진자 수는 미국·인도에 이어 세 번째, 누적 사망자는 미국 다음으로 두 번째로 많다.

한편, 상파울루 의사노조는 이날 발표한 보고서를 통해 브라질에서 코로나19 사태가 본격화한 이후 의료진 244명이 사망했다고 밝혔다.

첫 사망자는 3월 22일에 보고됐고, 가장 최근에 사망자가 발생한 것은 지난 2일이다.

코로나19가 극성을 부린 지난 4∼5월에 의료진 사망자 역시 집중적으로 발생했다고 노조는 전했다.

의료진 사망자 가운데 88%는 남성이며, 45%가 60세 이상인 것으로 파악됐다.

지역별로는 상파울루주에서 51명, 리우데자네이루주에서 40명이 사망했다.
