테슬라, 해외주식 '직구' 대세 여전…1.8조 사들여

(서울=연합뉴스) 박원희 기자 = 하반기 들어서도 해외주식 열풍이 이어지는 가운데 테슬라가 국내 투자자들의 선택을 가장 많이 받은 것으로 나타났다.

9일 한국예탁결제원 증권정보포털(SEIBro)에 따르면 지난 7월 이후 국내 투자자들이 가장 많이 순매수한 종목은 테슬라로 15억6천424만달러(1조8천594억원)를 순매수했다.

앞서 상반기(지난 1월 1일∼6월 30일)에도 테슬라는 순매수액 4억7천11만달러(5천588억원)로 1위를 차지한 바 있는데, 두달여 만에 상반기 순매수액을 넘어섰다.

테슬라 주식 순매수액은 7월에 7억6천149만달러(9천52억원)로 정점을 찍은 뒤 8월(3억1천398만달러)에 잠시 주춤했으나, 이달 들어 4억8천905만달러(5천813억원)를 기록하며 증가세를 보였다.

이는 테슬라가 주식 액면 분할을 단행하면서 국내 투자자들이 저가 매수의 기회로 삼은 결과로 보인다.

지난달 테슬라는 주식 1주를 5주로 쪼개는 주식 분할을 결정, 같은 달 31일부터 조정 가격에 거래가 개시됐다. 이에 '천슬라'라고 불릴 정도로 고가였던 테슬라 주가는 지난 4일(현지 시간) 종가 기준 418.32달러로 내려온 상태다.

이외 순매수 상위권에는 애플(7억7천268만달러·2위), 그래픽카드 업체 엔비디아(5억950만달러·3위), 아마존(4억5천156만달러·4위) 등 미국 증시를 주도하는 대형 기술주가 포함됐다.

특히 중국의 대표적인 반도체 업체인 SMIC(중신궈지·中芯國際)가 미국 증시에 상장된 종목이 아닌 주식으로는 유일하게 상위 10위권 안에 들어 눈길을 끌었다.

7월 이후 해외주식 거래대금(결제금액)은 423억1천138만달러(50조3천억원)로 지난해 409억8천507만달러(48조7천500억원)보다 많았다. 이중 미국 증시 거래대금이 368억758만달러(43조7천800억원)로 86.99%를 차지했다.

같은 기간 순매수액은 58억6천766만달러(6조9천800억원)였다.
