'아웅산 수치 국가고문 암살 시도 군이 제압' 내용에 비판 쏟아져

(방콕=연합뉴스) 김남권 특파원 = 미얀마 내 유명 스타들이 등장한 한 뮤직비디오가 논란의 중심에 섰다고 현지 언론이 전했다.

온라인 매체 이라와디는 7일 미얀마 공보부가 소셜미디어상에서 논란이 된 뮤직비디오에 대해 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 예방 수칙을 위반했는지 여부를 조사할 것이라고 보도했다.

미얀마 내 여러 부처가 참여한 정부 코로나19 위원회는 코로나 확산을 막기 위해 각종 행사나 영화 촬영 등을 포함해 사람들이 모이는 것을 최근까지 금지했다.

그러나 '우리의 땅'(부제 이제는 단합할 때, 미얀마!)이라는 제목의 이 뮤직비디오에는 미얀마 내 유명 음악인 및 영화인들이 한자리에 모여 노래를 불러 코로나19 예방 수칙을 어겼다는 지적이 나온 것이다.

여기에다 뮤직비디오가 민주주의민족동맹(NLD)과 야당 그리고 군부 간 화합이 필요하다는 메시지를 던지면서, 군을 국가의 구세주처럼 미화한 것이 논란을 키웠다.

특히 뮤직비디오 말미에 아웅산 수치 국가고문으로 보이는 듯한 여성 지도자에 대한 암살 시도가 이뤄지고, 이때 군인들이 등장해 암살을 막으며 '영웅'으로 묘사되는 듯한 내용이 문제가 됐다.

미얀마 국민들에게 압도적 지지를 받는 수치 국가고문 암살이라는 시나리오까지 등장시키면서까지 군을 미화했다는 비판이 쏟아진 것이다.

오는 11월 8일 첫 총선을 앞둔 상황에서 군을 옹호한 것 역시 비판받은 대목이다.

우 아예 키웨 공보국장 대행은 이라와디에 "영화협회의 협조를 얻어 뮤직비디오가 언제 어떤 방식으로 제작됐는지 조사할 것"이라면서 "뮤직비디오 제작자가 코로나19 예방 규정을 어겼다면, 관계 당국은 법에 따라 조처를 할 계획"이라고 말했다.

미얀마 영화협회도 공보부가 최근에야 영화 및 광고 제작을 허용하기 전까지 코로나19 관련 교육용 단편 영상과 뮤직비디오 등 7편에 대해서만 촬영을 허용했다고 밝혔다.

이와 관련, 제작에 참여한 것으로 알려진 이들은 논란의 뮤직비디오가 영상 제작이 금지된 시점에 제작됐다고 설명한 것으로 알려졌다.

한편 집회 금지 기간 진행돼 참석자 수 십여명이 코로나19 확진 판정을 받은 기도회와 관련, 캐나다 국적의 쏘 데이비드 라 목사는 전날 법원에서 중노동이 수반된 3개월의 징역형을 선고받았다.
