(해남=연합뉴스) 조근영 기자 = 해남군은 노인, 장애인 등 복지 취약계층의 일상생활 불편을 해소하기 위해 지난해 발족한 '우리동네 복지기동대'를 확대 지원한다고 13일 밝혔다.

코로나19 장기화로 상반기는 대면접촉 봉사활동에 어려움이 많았지만, 하반기에는 운영방법을 변경해 본격적인 기동대 활동에 돌입했다.

복지기동대는 14개 읍·면에 마을이장과 공무원 등 5∼10명으로 구성됐다.

15개 대 108명의 복지기동대원은 전등교체, 수도배관 수리 등 소규모 생활불편사항 개선과 복지 사각지대 발굴·지원(235건) 등 관내 복지 소외계층에 큰 힘이 되고 있다.

해남군은 생활불편 사항을 신고하면 복지기동대에서 수리해주던 방식을 읍·면 일제 점검을 통해 시급성 등을 고려해 수리 할 수 있도록 했다.

생활불편 개선비용 지원금을 기존 70만원에서 100만원, 전기·수도 등 긴급수리비용 기존 20만원에서 30만원으로 각각 확대했다.

명현관 해남군수는 "복지기동대 추진 방법을 탄력적으로 변경해 관내 복지 사각지대에 있는 위기가구의 복지수요 및 생활불편 사항을 선제적으로 찾아내 서비스를 제공하겠다"고 밝혔다.
