(서울=연합뉴스) 박수윤 기자 = 북한이 오는 6∼7일 대동강과 청천강, 예성강 유역에 '홍수주의경보'를 발령한다고 4일 밝혔다.

조선중앙TV는 이날 오후 방송에서 해당 지역에 큰물(홍수) 경보가 내려진다고 보도했다.

대동강은 북한 수도 평양을 가로질러 황해로 흘러드는 강이며 청천강은 평안북도를 지나 황해로 흐른다. 개성공단 일대를 지나는 예성강은 한강 하구로 이어진다.

아울러 한반도가 제4호 태풍 '하구핏'의 영향권에 드는 가운데 오는 5일 황해남도 해상에는 주의경보가 발령된다.

6일에는 황해남도 해상에 중급경보가, 동해와 평안남북도 해상에는 주의경보가 각각 내려진다.

북한 기상수문국(기상청) 리영남 부대장은 이날 조선중앙TV에 출연해 "어젯밤부터 오늘 현재까지 내린 비 양만 놓고 보더라도 여러 지역에 시간당 40㎜가 넘는 폭우가 내리고, 강원도 평강에는 100㎜ 이상의 많은 비가 내렸다"고 밝혔다.

그는 "태풍 4호가 중국 저장성(浙江省) 부근에 상륙한 상태"라며 "앞으로 이 태풍이 저기압으로 약해져 우리나라 중부지역을 지나가게 된다"고 예상했다.

그러면서 "이 과정에 이 태풍이 몰고 들어오는 덥고 습한 공기가 보충돼 우리나라 부근에 활동하는 장마전선의 세기를 더 강화할 것으로 예견된다"고 말했다.

이로 인해 북한 대부분 지역에는 폭우를 동반한 많은 비가 내릴 것으로 보이며, 특히 평안도·황해도·개성시·자강도 남부·강원도 내륙지역에는 500㎜ 이상의 폭우가 쏟아질 수 있다고 우려했다.

기상수문국에 따르면 지난 1일 0시부터 4일 오후 3시까지 누적 강수량은 황해도 장풍군이 491㎜에 달하며 운산(433㎜), 배천(410㎜), 구성(392㎜), 평강(318㎜), 개성(295㎜) 등지에도 '물폭탄'이 쏟아졌다.

북한은 이처럼 연일 조선중앙TV, 조선중앙방송 등 관영 매체를 통해 기상 소식을 발 빠르게 전하고 있지만, 아직 수해 여부와 이재민 현황은 공개하지 않고 있다.

지난해 태풍 '링링'으로 막대한 농경지 침수를 겪었을 때는 피해 상황을 상세히 보도했고 국제기구의 원조도 받아들였다.

조선중앙통신은 "농업 부문을 비롯한 인민경제 모든 부문에서는 폭우와 많은 비로 하여 발생할 수 있는 피해 요소들을 장악하고 이를 극복하기 위한 대책들을 세우고 있다"고 전했다.
