통합, 김원웅 연일 맹폭…"태어나면 안 될 나라냐"

(서울=연합뉴스) 이동환 기자 = 미래통합당은 17일 '친일 청산' 광복절 기념사로 논란을 불러일으킨 김원웅 광복회장을 향해 파상 공세를 이어갔다.

최형두 원내대변인은 이날 CBS 라디오 '김현정의 뉴스쇼'에서 "김 회장 말대로라면 대한민국은 태어났으면 안 될 나라"라며 "김대중 전 대통령이 나오기 위해서는 이승만 전 대통령이 필요했다"고 말했다.

최 원내대변인은 "이승만 대통령과 안익태도 친일파면 여당은 지금 당장 애국가를 바꿔야 한다"며 "일제시대에 군인, 공무원이 됐다는 이유 하나로 단순히 '죽일 X', '파묘'라고 하는 것은 굉장히 분열적"이라고 비판했다.

그는 김 회장이 2018년 '김정은 찬양' 논란을 빚은 단체인 위인맞이환영단 세미나에 참석한 점을 거론하며 "역사의 해석이 그렇게 단순하면 김정은이 위인인가"라고 비꼬았다.

조수진 의원은 페이스북 글을 통해 김 회장이 프랑스도 국가를 7번 바꿨다고 주장한 데 대해 "프랑스의 국가인 '라 마르세예즈'는 1789년 프랑스대혁명 때 시민군이 불렀다"며 "주장의 근거부터 제시하라"고 쏘아붙였다.

이준석 전 최고위원은 "국민을 둘로 가르면 결국 부역자와 부역하지 않은 자로 나누는 것인데 그 기준이 항상 모호하다"며 "민족의 역사에서 서로 안 좋은 부분을 들춰 진영 논리를 펼치는 것 자체가 위험할 수 있다"고 주장했다.

이 전 최고위원은 김 회장이 이른바 '친일파 파묘법'(국립묘지법 개정안)의 국회 통과를 촉구한 데 대해서는 "박정희 전 대통령을 공식적으로 친일파라고 국가에서 공인할 수 있겠느냐"라며 "박 전 대통령을 (파묘) 못 할 거면 백선엽 장군도 못하는, 굉장히 얽혀있는 문제"라고 지적했다.
