지지율 역전된 민주 "부동산, 서울·부산시장이 컸다"(종합)

쇄신 목소리 분출…이낙연 "기풍쇄신" 이재명 "국민 채찍"

(서울=연합뉴스) 이대희 이보배 강민경 기자 = 박근혜 전 대통령 탄핵 국면 이후 처음으로 미래통합당에 지지율을 추월당한 더불어민주당 내에서 위기감이 고조되고 있다.

특히 주요 당권·대권 주자를 중심으로 자성론과 함께 당의 쇄신을 촉구하는 목소리가 분출하고 있다.

이낙연 당 대표 후보는 13일 연합뉴스에 "경기침체, 고용불안, 집값 상승과 상대적 박탈감, 원활치 못한 국회, 민주당 일부 구성원의 부적절한 처신과 언행, 긴 장마와 집중호우의 피해 등으로 국민의 답답함과 실망이 누적된 결과"라며 "민주당의 기풍쇄신이 필요하다"고 말했다.

이어 CBS 라디오에서 당의 어떤 처신·언행에 문제가 있었다고 보느냐는 질문에 "서울·부산시장의 잘못이 컸다"며 "전·월세 제도에 대해 평론가 같은 이야기를 하는 것은 집으로 고통받는 국민의 마음을 헤아리기에는 부족하다고 보는 게 맞다"고 말했다.

김부겸 후보는 MBC 라디오에서 "민심이 이렇게 무섭게 변한 것 중 가장 큰 요인은 부동산 문제"라며 "다주택자는 세금 중과 때문에 화가 나고, 내 집 마련을 하겠다고 기다리고 준비한 분들은 기회가 없어지는 것 아니냐고 불만인 것 같다"고 진단했다.

김 후보는 정부 여당의 부동산 대책에 대해 "국민의 주거 안정을 위한 제도 개선인데, 당장은 여러 혼란스러운 목소리가 나오다 보니 우려하는 분들이 계신 것 같다"고 덧붙였다.

박주민 후보는 페이스북에서 "전당대회가 진행 중임에도 지지율이 하락하는 것은 우리 당에 보내는 국민의 경고이기에 책임을 통감하며 반성한다"며 "검찰·사법 등 권력기관 개혁에 망설임 없이 나서고 민생을 위한 개혁에도 더욱 박차를 가하겠다"고 밝혔다.

대권 주자로 분류되는 이재명 경기도지사 역시 이날 국회에서 기자들과 만나 "정치는 언제나 국민 의사를 존중하고 국민 삶을 개선하는 것이어야 하는데, 좀 더 노력을 많이 해달라는 채찍"이라고 분석했다.

한 중진 의원은 "부동산 문제뿐 아니라 인천국제공항공사 문제, 윤미향, 박원순, 오거돈 사건 등에 대해서 잘났다고 밀어붙이는 오만한 태도가 쌓인 결과"라며 "야당과 논의해 비판적인 견해도 수렴하는 겸손한 자세로 나아가야 한다"고 했다.

다만 지도부를 중심으로는 지지율에 지나치게 과민하게 반응할 필요가 있다며 추이를 지켜봐야 한다는 신중론도 나온다.

한 핵심 당직자는 "지지율에 일희일비하지 않는다"면서 "부동산 시장 불안 등으로 인한 일시적 현상인 만큼 문제의 원인이 해결되면 지지율이 다시 조정되지 않겠느냐"고 말했다.
