(서울=연합뉴스) 이유미 이보배 기자 = 문재인 대통령이 부동산 대책 실효성을 높이기 위해 '부동산 시장 감독기구' 설치를 검토하겠다고 발언한 이후 더불어민주당 내에서 관련 논의가 급물살을 타고 있다.

진성준 의원은 13일 페이스북에서 "자정 기능에만 맡겨둘 수 없다. 자본시장보다 더 강력한 관리·감독 시스템이 필요하다"며 "여러 기관에 산재해 있는 시장관리 기능을 통합해 부동산감독원 같은 독립기구를 만들어야 한다"고 주장했다.

당 지도부 관계자는 연합뉴스와 통화에서 "부동산 감독 기구가 생기면 부동산 투기를 통해 돈을 버는 시대는 끝났다는 신호로 받아들여질 것"이라며 "그러면 부동산 물량도 나오고 집값 안정 효과도 있을 것"이라고 말했다.

국회 기획재정위 소속 양경숙 의원은 효율적인 감독기구 설치방안을 모색하고자 오는 21일 당 정책위와 공동으로 국회 토론회를 연다.

다만 당 일각에서는 과도한 규제가 시장에 왜곡된 메시지를 줄 수 있다며 신중론도 나온다.

홍익표 의원은 KBS 라디오 '김경래의 최강시사'에서 "옥상옥이나 이 중 구조 문제는 해소될 수 있다고 생각한다"면서도 "이게 꼭 필요한지는 좀 더 검토해볼 필요가 있다"고 말했다.

민주당 중진 의원도 "부동산으로 가뜩이나 민심이 좋지 않은 상황인데 부동산 감독기구로 시장에 또 규제 메시지를 던지면 부정적인 영향을 주진 않을지 우려된다"고 밝혔다.

한편 민주당은 이날 한국감정원 발표를 토대로 정부의 부동산 정책 효과가 나타나고 있다고 자평했다.

당권 주자인 박주민 의원은 페이스북에서 "서울 아파트 가격 상승이 7·10대책 발표 이후 둔화하고 있다. 곧 상승 국면에 조정이 올 수 있다고 보인다"라며 "부동산 정책, 효과가 나타나고 있다"고 밝혔다.

박 의원은 미래통합당 김종인 비상대책위원장과 원희룡 제주지사가 문 대통령의 '주택 시장이 안정화되고 있다'는 발언을 맹비난한 것을 두고 "곧 두 분이 한 말에 책임질 시간이 올 것"이라고도 적었다.
