(서울=연합뉴스) 정래원 기자 = 북한이 장마전선의 북상으로 전날부터 많은 비가 내리는 가운데 긴장하며 피해를 줄이기 위해 경고등을 켜고 있다.

리영남 기상수문국(기상청) 부대장은 2일 조선중앙TV에 출연해 "1일부터 현재까지 전국에서 많은 비가 내리고 있다"면서 "황해남북도 남부지역, 평안북도 산간지역 등에서 200㎜ 이상의 많은 비가 내렸다"고 전했다.

특히 "앞으로 장마전선이 저기압골과 합류되면서 이보다 더한 폭우를 동반한 많은 비가 내릴 것이 예견된다"면서 폭우가 이어지겠다고 경고했다.

이 부대장은 강·하천 유역에서는 비가 최대 500㎜ 이상까지도 내릴 가능성이 있다면서 주의를 당부했다.

그는 "앞으로 위험성이 커가는 데 따라서 대책을 더욱 철저히, 더욱 강하게 세워야 할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.

앞서 북한 관영 라디오 조선중앙방송도 '폭우와 많은 비 주의 경보' 소식을 전하면서 "모든 부문에서는 폭우와 많은 비에 의한 피해가 없도록 철저한 안전대책을 세워야 할 것"이라고 강조했다.

방송에 따르면 오는 3일까지 예상되는 강수량은 서해안 일부 지역과 강원도 내륙 40∼70㎜ (많은 곳 150㎜ 이상), 자강도·함경남도·강원도 바닷가 지역 20∼40㎜ 등이다.

북한은 지난해 태풍 '링링'으로 4만6천200여정보(약 458㎢)의 농경지가 피해를 보는 등 한차례 물난리를 겪은 후여서 이번 폭우를 동반한 올해 장마에 더욱 경계심을 높이고 있다.
