해외 대신 백화점서 명품예물 구입…롯데웨딩멤버스 가입자 증가

(서울=연합뉴스) 황희경 기자 = 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 여파로 해외여행과 면세점 이용이 어려워지면서 명품 예물을 백화점에서 사는 예비 부부가 늘었다.

롯데백화점은 올해 1∼7월 웨딩 전용 서비스인 '롯데웨딩멤버스' 가입 고객이 지난해 동기 대비 2배로 늘었고 이들의 명품 구매 금액도 120% 증가했다고 13일 밝혔다.

롯데웨딩멤버스는 결혼을 준비하는 예비부부 대상 회원제 서비스다. 청첩장이나 예식장 계약서 등을 내고 가입하면 9개월간 백화점 구매 금액에 따라 마일리지를 적립해 롯데백화점 상품권을 주고 웨딩컨설팅 등 각종 혜택을 준다.

롯데백화점 관계자는 "롯데웨딩멤버스 고객의 구매액 중 40% 이상이 해외명품인 점을 고려할 때 가입자 증가는 최근 코로나19로 해외여행길이 막히며 면세점과 해외에서 구매하던 명품 예물을 백화점에서 구매하는 고객이 늘었기 때문으로 보인다"고 분석했다.

이에 따라 롯데백화점은 가을 결혼을 준비하는 예비 부부들을 겨냥해 14∼23일 롯데웨딩멤버스 고객들을 대상으로 '롯데 웨딩위크' 행사를 연다.

15개 해외명품·가전·가구 브랜드에서 구매할 경우 웨딩 마일리지를 두 배 적립해준다. 기존에는 오프라인으로 구매할 때만 마일리지를 적립해줬지만 이번 행사 때는 온라인 구매 때도 적립이 가능하다.
