무토 전 주한日대사, 문대통령 향해 또 독설

"국회 무력화 횡포…더불어민주당은 독재당"

(도쿄=연합뉴스) 박세진 특파원 = 일본에서 문재인 정부 비판의 선봉에 서고 있는 무토 마사토시(武藤正敏·72) 전 주한 일본대사가 문재인 대통령을 겨냥해 또 독설을 퍼부었다.

무토 전 대사는 5일 일본 주간지 '다이아몬드' 웹사이트에 올린 '문 대통령의 국회무력화 횡포' 제하의 기고문에서 "문재인 정권은 총선 압승 이후 그 본색을 드러내고 있다"면서 "민주주의를 짓밟고 정권 뜻대로 정치를 움직이려 하고 있다"고 주장했다.

그는 이어 "(집권당이) 야당과의 대화는커녕 필요한 절차조차 무시하고 있다"면서 임대차 관련 3법이 속전속결 방식으로 개정된 과정을 기술하고 문재인 정부가 민주주의를 포기했다고 썼다.

그는 또 "문재인 정권하에서 국회가 제 기능을 못 하고 있다"면서 "심의도 하지 않고 정권 의향을 추인한 법률을 통과시키는 고무 스탬프 국회가 됐다"고 비판의 날을 세웠다.

'속도가 중요하다'고 했다는 이해찬 민주당 대표의 발언을 인용한 무토 전 대사는 "앞으로도 절차와 토론을 무시하고 단숨에 밀어붙이겠다는 것이 민주당 내의 분위기"라며 "민주당이 아니라 독재당"이라고 독설을 쏟아냈다.

그는 "민주당의 반민주적 행태는 선거법과 고위공직자범죄수사처 관련법을 일방적으로 처리할 때부터 시작됐다"면서 "민주당이라는 이름을 당장 '독재당'으로 바꿔야 한다고 생각하는 것이 필자(본인)뿐만은 아닐 것"이라고 주장했다.

무토 전 대사는 지난달 22일에도 '다이아몬드' 웹사이트에 '한국에 태어나지 않아 다행이다'라는 기고문에서 "문 대통령의 한국은 북한을 추종하기만 하고 한국 안보를 소홀히 하고 있다"면서 현재의 한국 평화는 "북한 움직임에 따라 언제라도 붕괴할 수 있는 위태로운 평화"라고 규정했다.

그러면서 "문 대통령이 내정에서 국내 화합을 도모하기보다는 대립을 부추겨 좌파 정권을 영속화하고 보수파는 철저하게 몰아내려 하고 있다"면서 "한국은 문 정권 지지자가 아니면 살기 어려운 나라"라고 주장하기도 했다.

자신의 성향을 분명한 '반문'(反文) 이라고 밝히는 무토 전 대사는 2005∼2007년 주한 공사를 거쳐 이명박 대통령 시절인 2010년 8월부터 2012년 10월까지 주한 대사를 지냈다.

그는 문 정부 출범 직후인 2017년 6월 '한국인으로 태어나지 않아 다행이다'(韓國人に生まれなくて良かった)라는 자극적인 제목의 책을 일본에서 펴냈다.

또 작년 7월에는 단행본인 '문재인이라는 재액'(文在寅という災厄)을 내놓는 등 문 대통령을 공격하고 비방하는 기고 활동을 적극적으로 하고 있다.
