배임·횡령 라임 투자 연예기획사 대표 구속기소

(서울=연합뉴스) 윤우성 기자 = 서울남부지검 형사6부(조상원 부장검사)는 라임자산운용 펀드에서 투자받은 돈으로 부실 채권을 사들이고 회삿돈을 빼돌린 혐의(특정경제범죄 가중처벌법상 횡령·배임)로 연예기획사 대표 김모씨를 구속기소 했다고 13일 밝혔다.

김씨는 코스닥 상장사 A사 회장 이모씨의 부탁을 받고 라임 펀드로부터 자신이 운영하는 연예기획사 B사 명의로 200억원을 투자받은 뒤 이를 A사의 부실 전환사채에 투자해 회사에 손해를 끼친 혐의를 받는다.

김씨가 인수해 사실상 '돌려막기' 한 A사의 전환사채는 이미 감사의견 거절을 받아 투자가치가 거의 없는 상태였던 것으로 드러났다.

김씨는 이씨와 공모해 둘이 운영하는 A사와 B사 자금 86억원 상당을 빼돌려 횡령한 혐의로도 기소됐다.

김씨와 공모한 혐의를 받는 이씨는 다른 사건으로 체포영장이 발부된 상태이며, 수사가 시작되기 전 해외로 도피한 것으로 알려졌다.
