푸틴-마크롱 통화…"레바논·벨라루스 상황 등 국제 현안 논의"

"러시아 코로나19 백신 승인 관련 전염병 대응 협력도 공감"

(모스크바=연합뉴스) 유철종 특파원 = 블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령이 12일(현지시간) 에마뉘엘 마크롱 프랑스 대통령과 전화 통화를 하고 레바논, 벨라루스 상황 등 국제 현안과 양국 협력 방안을 논의했다고 크렘린궁이 밝혔다.

크렘린궁에 따르면 두 정상은 프랑스 측의 요청으로 이뤄진 이날 통화에서 먼저 지난 4일 베이루트항 폭발 사고 이후 레바논 국민에 제공한 러시아와 프랑스의 인도주의 지원에 초점을 맞춰 레바논 상황을 상세히 논의했다.

마크롱 대통령은 최근의 레바논 방문과 지난 9일 프랑스가 조직한 국제사회의 레바논 지원을 위한 화상회의 결과 등에 대해 공유했다.

레바논 정치 상황 전개에 대해 푸틴 대통령은 이 나라의 단합과 주권을 지지하는 입장을 확인했다.

그러면서 모든 논쟁적 문제들을 외부개입 없이 레바논인들 스스로 건설적 대화를 통해 해결해야 할 필요성을 강조했다.

우크라이나 분쟁 해결 방안도 논의됐다.

푸틴 대통령은 우크라이나가 동부 돈바스 지역 분쟁 해결을 위한 '민스크 합의'의 정치적 의무를 철저히 이행하고, 돈바스 지역의 특수지위를 법적으로 확립하기 위한 중앙정부와 분리주의 반군 간 직접 대화를 추진할 것을 거듭 촉구했다.

두 정상은 대선 후 정국 혼란을 겪고 있는 벨라루스 정세에 대해서도 의견을 교환한 것으로 알려졌다.

정상들은 이어 양자 현안 및 마크롱 대통령의 방러 준비와 관련해 정치, 통상·경제, 인적교류 등의 분야에 걸친 관계를 발전시켜 나가는 데 대한 공통의 관심을 표명했다.

양측은 또 전날 이뤄진 러시아의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 백신 등록과 관련, 전염병 대응 분야에서 협력을 지속하는 것이 중요하다는 데도 공감했다고 크렘린궁은 전했다.
