공사는 항공기 운항 경로의 간섭을 최소화하면서 여객터미널과 헬기상 사이의 상호 접근성을 높이기 위해 공항화물청사역 북동쪽에 새 헬기장을 만들었다.

새 헬기장 착륙대는 가로세로 46m 크기로, 대통령 전용기 모델인 S-92A급 대형 헬기도 이착륙이 가능하다.
