김원웅, 통합당 맹공에 "친일비호세력 스스로 인증"(종합)

공화당·민정당 이력엔 "생계지만 원죄 인정…반성하며 더 원칙 지킬 것"

"친일미청산 99% 이승만 탓…애국가 바꿔야" 재주장…백선엽엔 "사형감"

(서울=연합뉴스) 정빛나 기자 = 김원웅 광복회장은 17일 자신의 '친일 청산' 광복절 기념사를 비판한 미래통합당을 향해 "스스로 친일비호세력이라는 것을 인증한 것"이라고 반박했다.

김 회장은 이날 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중', KBS 라디오 '김경래의 최강시사'에 잇달아 출연해 "친일청산을 하자는 얘기만 했는데 통합당이 펄펄 뛰고 욕하는 것을 보면 그분들이 찔리는 게 있는 것 아닌가"라며 이같이 주장했다.

또 이번 기념사가 자신의 개인 생각이 아닌 30여차례 내부 검토를 거친 '광복회 공식 입장'이라는 점을 강조하며 "친일청산 문제는 제2의 독립운동이라는 자세로 (작성)했다"고 말했다.

기념사 전문이 사전에 청와대에 전달됐냐는 질문에는 "전혀 교감이 없었다"고 일축했다. 행사를 준비한 행정안전부와도 내용은 공유하지 않았다고 덧붙였다.

이번 논란 이후 공화당과 민정당 등에 몸을 담았다가 이후 '갈아탄' 그의 정치 이력이 부각되는 것과 관련, 김 회장은 "생계이긴 하지만 거기(공화당·민정당)에 몸담았다는 것을 부끄럽게 생각한다"며 "원죄가 있기 때문에 더 충실하게 지난 삼십몇 년 동안 살아왔다"는 입장을 밝혔다.

이승만 전 대통령과 애국가를 작곡한 안익태의 '친일 행적'은 거듭 비판했다.

그는 "친일 미청산의 거의 99%가 이승만 대통령에게 책임이 있다"며 "해방 이후 미국에 빌붙어서 대통령이 되면서 미국 국가 이익을 챙긴 사람"이라고 규정했다.

안익태는 비단 그의 친일 행적 뿐 아니라 애국가 곡조도 불가리아 민요를 60여군데 표절했다며 즉각 바꿔야 한다고 지적했다.

김 회장은 최근 별세한 백선엽 장군은 6·25 공적이 과장됐다며 재검토해야 한다고 주장했다.

그는 "6·25가 난 그날 백선엽 장군이 이끌던 육군 제1사단이 안 나타났다. 그다음 날도 안 나타났다"며 "1사단에 있던 참모들이나 장교들이 군인들이 장군은 없는데 그다음 날 할 수 없이 도피를 했다"고 말했다. 또 '사형감', '셀프 공적' 등이라는 표현을 사용하며 거칠게 비판했다.

김 회장은 앞서 지난 15일 광복절 경축식 기념사에서 "이승만은 반민족행위특별조사위원회를 폭력적으로 해체하고 친일파와 결탁했다"며 "대한민국은 민족 반역자를 제대로 청산하지 못한 유일한 나라가 됐다"고 말해 논란이 일었다.

또 애국가를 작곡한 음악인 안익태의 친일 행적을 지적하며 "민족 반역자가 작곡한 노래를 국가로 정한 나라는 전 세계에서 대한민국 한 나라뿐"이라고 성토했고, 국립현충원 '친일파 파묘' 법안 통과도 주장했다.

이에 대해 통합당은 김 회장 사퇴를 촉구하는 등 연일 맹공을 퍼붓고 있다.
