(서울=연합뉴스) 김지헌 기자 = 서울시가 이끄는 공공 배달 애플리케이션(앱) '제로배달 유니온'(이하 유니온)이 9월 서비스 개시를 앞두고 가맹점 모집에 나선다고 시가 4일 밝혔다.

유니온에는 16개 민간 배달 플랫폼이 참여한다. 음식점주 등은 자신이 원하는 플랫폼 2∼3개를 골라 가맹하면 된다.

서울시는 유니온이 주는 비용 절감 혜택이 크다고 강조했다.

시에 따르면 상위 3개 사가 전체 시장의 약 90%를 차지하는 현재 배달 플랫폼 업계에서는 가맹점이 광고료·중개수수료 등으로 6∼12%를 내야 하는데 유니온의 수수료는 0∼2% 수준이다. 입점비는 없다.

유니온에서는 서울사랑상품권 결제가 가능하다. 소비자가 서울사랑상품권으로 결제하면 업체는 최대 3%인 신용카드 결제 수수료를 0.5%로 낮출 수 있다.

서비스 초기에는 이용 시민에게 10% 추가 할인까지 제공한다.

이 서비스는 이재명 경기도지사 등이 들고나온 '공공 배달 앱' 논의가 한창이던 지난 6월 25일 박원순 전 서울시장이 발표한 것이다.

서울시는 유니온이 '관 주도 공공 앱'이 아니라 '민관 협력 방식'이라고 주장했다.

서성만 서울시 노동민생담당관은 "제로배달 유니온은 독점에 가까운 배달 플랫폼 시장경제의 정상화에 도움을 줄 것"이라고 말했다.
