파주병원 탈출 사랑제일교회 확진자 25시간만에 검거(종합)

서울 신촌 커피숍서 잡혀…손님 40여명 등 방역 조치

감염 우려로 탈출 이유 등 조사에 시간 걸릴 듯

19일 파주시에 따르면 전날 새벽 파주병원을 탈출했던 A(평택시 177번 확진자)씨가 이날 1시 15분께 서울 서대문구 신촌의 한 커피숍에서 경찰에 검거됐다.

검거된 A씨는 구급차를 이용, 현재 파주병원으로 이송 중이다.

당시 커피숍에는 손님 40여명이 있었으며 서울시가 이들과 커피숍 등을 상대로 방역 조치 중인 것으로 전해졌다.

보건당국은 A씨가 병원에 도착하는대로 코로나19 재검사를 진행할 예정이다.

보건당국 관계자는 "A씨에 대한 도주 이유 등 조사는 감염 우려로 당장 이뤄지기는 힘들 것"이라고 설명했다.

이 때문에 A씨에 대한 조사에 시간이 걸릴 것으로 보인다.

파주병원은 지난 18일 오전 8시께 A씨가 격리치료 중이던 병실에 배식을 위해 들어갔다가 A씨가 없는 것을 확인하고 10분뒤 경찰에 탈출 신고를 했다.

파주시와 파주병원은 A씨가 이날 0시 18분께 병원 정문을 나서는 모습이 폐쇄회로(CC)TV에 촬영된 것을 확인했다.

A씨는 푸른색 계열의 환자복 바지와 흰색 민소매 티를 입고 하얀색 슬리퍼를 신은 채 병실을 나선 뒤 간호사들이 업무를 보는 공간에서는 바닥에 엎드려 기어서 출입문까지 이동한 것으로 알려졌다.

파주병원 정문을 나선 A씨가 맞은편 파주경찰서 쪽에서 이동하는 모습도 CCTV에 촬영된 것으로 파악됐다.

그는 이후 오전 4시 30분께 파주병원에서 3㎞가량 떨어진 조리읍 봉일천에서 버스를 타고 서울로 이동한 것으로 추정된다.

이어 오전 9시께부터 종로구의 한 커피전문점에서 1시간가량 머문 것으로 확인됐다.

경찰에 따르면 A씨는 이 커피점에서 마스크를 착용했고, 음료를 마실 때만 마스크를 잠깐 내린 것으로 파악됐다.

경찰은 A씨를 검거하기 위해 경력을 동원해 서울 종로구 등 일대를 수색하고 CCTV 등을 통해 그의 행적을 추적했다.
