핀란드도 코로나19 증가에 처음으로 마스크 착용 권고

(브뤼셀=연합뉴스) 김정은 특파원 = 핀란드 정부가 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)이 다시 증가하자 13일(현지시간) 처음으로 공공장소에서 마스크 착용을 권고했다고 로이터 통신이 전했다.

산나 마린 핀란드 총리는 이날 대중교통 등 사회적 거리 두기가 불가능한 상황에서는 마스크를 써야 한다고 밝혔다.

핀란드 공중보건 당국도 15세 이상 시민은 15분 이상 사람들이 붐비는 장소에 머무를 경우 마스크를 착용해야 한다고 권고했다. 2주간 코로나19 신규 확진자가 없는 지역은 그 대상에서 제외된다.

핀란드는 이전까지는 공식적으로 마스크 착용을 지지하지 않았다.

현지 보건 당국은 이날 코로나19 신규 확진자가 41명 보고됐다고 밝혔다. 이는 지난 5월 말 이후 하루 신규 확진자로는 가장 많은 것이다.

실시간 국제통계사이트인 월드오미터에 따르면 이날 현재 핀란드의 코로나19 누적 확진자는 7천683명이다. 누적 사망자는 333명이다.

핀란드 당국은 또 수도 헬싱키 주변 지역 등 확진자가 증가하는 지역에서는 가능할 경우 재택근무를 할 것을 권고했다.
