멈추지 않는 인도 코로나19…이틀 연속 하루 감염 6만명대

누적 208만명…안드라프라데시 등 지방 확산세 계속

(뉴델리=연합뉴스) 김영현 특파원 = 인도의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 하루 신규 확진자 수가 이틀 연속 6만명대를 기록하는 등 확산세가 계속되는 상황이다.

8일 인도 보건·가족복지부 발표에 따르면 이날 인도의 코로나19 누적 확진자 수는 208만8천611명으로 집계됐다.

이는 전날보다 6만1천537명 늘어난 수치다. 신규 환자 수는 지난 7일 6만2천538명으로 최고 기록을 세운 후 이틀 연속으로 6만명대를 유지하며 증가세가 이어졌다.

누적 사망자 수는 4만2천518명으로 전날보다 933명 증가했다.

지역별로는 최대 경제도시 뭄바이와 최근 코로나19 감염 핫스폿(집중 발병 지역) 중 하나로 떠오른 푸네가 있는 마하라슈트라주의 누적 확진자가 49만262명으로 가장 많았다.

뭄바이의 이날 신규 확진자 수는 862명으로 최근 감소세를 이어갔지만, 푸네의 하루 환자 수는 2천851명으로 좀처럼 확산세가 잡히지 않는 분위기다.

최근에는 뭄바이와 수도 뉴델리 등 거대 도시의 확산세가 다소 완만해진 반면 안드라프라데시주, 타밀나두주, 카르나타카주, 우타르프라데시주 등의 지방 도시와 시골에서 감염자가 많이 나오고 있다.
