러시아 "세계 최초 승인 백신, 1인분 1만2천원 수준에 수출"

(모스크바=연합뉴스) 유철종 특파원 = 러시아는 자체 개발해 세계 최초로 공식 등록한 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 백신의 1인 접종 분량인 2회분을 10달러(약 1만2천원) 정도에 외국에 수출할 계획이라고 백신을 생산할 업체가 12일(현지시간) 밝혔다.

러시아 대형 제약사 '알-파름' 대표이사 알렉세이 레픽은 이날 자국 뉴스전문 TV 채널 '로시야-24'와의 인터뷰에서 백신 수출 가격에 대해 "(1인 접종 분량인) 2회분에 최소 10달러 정도가 될 것"이라고 전했다.

레픽 대표는 생산량이 대규모로 확대되면 수출가격도 더 싸질 수 있다고 전망했다.

블라디미르 푸틴 대통령은 앞서 지난 11일 러시아가 자체 개발한 코로나19 백신을 세계에서 가장 먼저 공식 등록했다고 발표했다.

이 백신은 러시아 보건부 산하 '가말레야 국립 전염병·미생물학 센터'가 국부펀드인 '직접투자펀드'(RDIF)의 지원을 받아 개발해온 백신으로 2차 임상시험을 마친 상태에서 전격적으로 국가 승인을 받았다.

백신 명칭은 지난 1957년 옛 소련이 인류 최초로 쏘아 올린 인공위성의 이름을 따 '스푸트니크 V'로 정해졌다.

러시아는 이달 말이나 내달 초부터 백신 생산에 들어갈 예정이다.

하지만 서방 전문가들은 3차 임상시험도 거치지 않은 러시아 스푸트니크 V 백신의 효능과 안정성에 의문을 제기하고 있다.
