'닥터코어 IP' 개발…연내 전국 기가인터넷 적용

(서울=연합뉴스) 조성흠 기자 = KT[030200]는 30일 인공지능(AI)으로 인터넷 서비스 품질 저하 원인과 장애를 고객 신고 전에 탐지하는 '닥터코어 IP' 솔루션을 개발했다고 밝혔다.

닥터코어 IP는 KT 인터넷망에 구축된 수십만 대의 장비에서 발생하는 데이터, 디도스(DDoS) 공격 등 서비스에 영향을 줄 수 있는 다양한 요인을 AI가 실시간으로 학습하고 정상적인 데이터 값과 비교해 인터넷 품질 저하 원인을 사전에 찾아낸다.

지금까지는 인터넷 품질 문제가 발생하면 해당 지역 네트워크 장비 전체의 방대한 기록을 사람이 직접 분석해야 해 시간과 자원 소모가 컸으나, 닥터코어 IP는 품질 문제를 수 분 내에 탐지할 수 있다고 KT는 설명했다.

KT는 부산·경남·충청 지역의 KT 기가인터넷 네트워크에 이 솔루션을 시범 적용했으며, 12월 이후 전국 KT 기가인터넷 네트워크로 확대 적용할 예정이다.

KT는 닥터코어 IP를 기존 KT의 네트워크 지능화 시스템과도 연계해 전체 네트워크 구간의 감시와 분석, 조치 업무를 자동화하는 것을 목표로 기술을 고도화한다.

KT 인프라연구소장 이종식 상무는 "KT의 차별화된 네트워크 AI 기술을 상용 인터넷망에 적용해 고객이 체감하는 인터넷과 IPTV 서비스 품질을 한층 더 끌어올렸다"고 말했다.

KT 네트워크운용본부장 지정용 상무는 "AI를 접목한 혁신적인 인터넷망 품질 감시 체계를 도입해 더욱 안정적인 서비스를 제공하겠다"고 말했다.
