(서울=연합뉴스) 민경락 성도현 기자 = 이철 전 밸류인베스트코리아(VIK) 대표의 대리인인 장경식 변호사는 24일 "(검언유착 의혹의) 몸통은 한동훈 검사장이며 이동재 전 채널A 기자는 한 검사장의 대리인"이라고 주장했다.

장 변호사는 이날 오후 검찰수사심의위원회 의견 진술을 마친 뒤 기자들과 만나 "이 전 기자가 허장성세한 것은 아니다"라며 이같이 말했다.

장 변호사는 심의위 현안위원들이 한 검사장과 이 전 기자 간 공모 의혹에 많은 관심을 보였다고 전했다.

현안위원들은 이 전 대표와의 질의응답 과정에서 한 검사장이 이 전 기자에게 한 말이 '취재 독려'인지 '공모'인지에 대해서 집중적으로 캐물은 것으로 전해졌다.

장 변호사는 서울남부지검의 신라젠 수사 상황이 한 검사장을 통해 그대로 이 전 기자에게 흘러가 이 전 기자가 이 전 대표에게 보낸 편지에 담겼다고 주장했다.

그는 "신라젠 투자심사를 담당했던 이 전 대표 회사 직원들이 검찰에서 조사를 받았는데 수사 검사가 '당신은 인생에 중요한 시점에 와 있다', '유시민 관련 부분 혹시 들은 거 있으면 이야기하라'고 했다"고 말했다.

검찰이 신라젠 수사 과정에서 유시민 노무현재단 이사장의 비위 의혹을 캐려 했다는 점이 이 전 기자가 이 전 대표에게 편지를 보낸 목적과 같다는 취지다. 장 변호사는 이를 한 검사장과 이 전 기자의 공모 정황으로 보고 있다.

그는 "남부지검의 수사 상황이 이 전 기자의 편지에도 언급이 돼 있다"며 사건 관계자 소환 등도 이 전 기자가 말한 대로 진행됐다고 주장했다.

이어 "한 검사장이 올해 초 부산고검으로 좌천된 뒤에도 남부지검 금융조사부를 통해 신라젠 수사에 관여했다"며 "그래서 그런 (수사) 상황이 이 전 기자 측으로 흘러든 것"이라도 했다.

현안위원들은 이 전 대표에게 유 이사장이 VIK에서 강연을 하고 받은 강연료 액수를 물었고 이 전 대표는 60만원이라고 답했다고 장 변호사는 전했다.

'검언유착' 사건은 이 전 기자가 올해 초 신라젠 의혹을 취재하면서 한 검사장과 공모해 이 전 대표에게 유 이사장 비리를 제보하라고 협박했다는 의혹이 골자다.

검찰 내부에서는 이번 사건이 제보자 지모 씨와 일부 정치인·언론 등이 모의한 '함정 취재'에서 시작됐다며 '권언유착' 의혹도 제기하고 있다.
