(베를린=연합뉴스) 이광빈 특파원 = 독일에서 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)의 2차 확산 우려가 제기되는 가운데 보건당국이 실외에서도 사회적 거리를 유지할 수 없을 경우 마스크 착용을 권고했다.

우리나라의 질병관리본부격인 독일 로베르트코흐연구소의 로타 빌러 소장은 28일(현지시간) 브리핑에서 실외에서도 상대방과 1.5ｍ의 거리를 유지할 수 없으면 마스크를 쓸 것을 추천한다고 말했다.

독일은 상점과 대중교통에서의 마스크 착용 의무화를 유지하고 있지만, 실외에서 착용하는 것에 대해서는 특별히 권고하지 않아 왔다.

빌러 소장은 최근 신규 확진자가 늘어나는 것과 관련해 2차 유행이 올 가능성을 경고하면서 위생수칙을 강조했다.

독일의 신규 확진자 수는 6월 이후 평일 300∼500명대 수준을 유지해오다가 최근 600∼800명대로 증가했다.

독일의 누적 확진자 수는 20만6천242명이고 누적 사망자 수는 9천122명이다. 지금까지 19만800명이 완치됐다.
