31일 오후, 지난 경기에서 거리 두기가 미흡해 KBO와 방역 당국 등으로부터 주의를 받은 부산 사직야구장.

보안요원과 롯데자이언츠 관계자 100여명이 입장 2시간 전부터 손팻말을 들고 구장 곳곳을 돌아다니며 거리 두기를 호소했다.

출입구와 관중석 곳곳에 배치된 운영요원은 지난 경기 거리두기 실패를 자책하는 듯 관중 입장이 시작되자 긴장한 모습을 감추지 못했다.

이날 사직야구장에 입장한 관중은 야구장 총 정원의 10%에 약간 못 미치는 2천85명.

관중 대부분은 옆 좌석과 3칸 이상 띄우고 음식물 섭취, 육성 응원을 자제하며 성숙한 응원문화를 보여줬다.

지난 28일 경기와는 360도 달라진 모습이었다.

홈팀이 안타를 치거나 득점을 해도 육성 응원 대신 조용한 박수를 보냈다.

응원가를 부르거나 욕설을 하는 등 코로나19 방역 수칙에서 어긋나는 일부 팬들이 간혹 눈살을 찌푸리게 했지만, 야구팬 스스로가 대부분 마스크를 착용하고 방역수칙 지키기 위해 애쓰는 모습이었다.

롯데 자이언츠는 지난 28일 부산 사직구장에서 열린 NC 다이노스와 올 시즌 첫 관중 입장 경기에서 1루 쪽에만 관중을 집중적으로 배치하도록 방치해 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 방역 수칙을 제대로 지키지 않았다는 비판을 받았다.

방역 당국과 부산시, KBO 모두 롯데 자이언츠 구단에 엄중 경고를 내렸다.

롯데자이언츠는 입장문을 내고 "홈경기 입장 관중 좌석 간 사회적 거리 두기가 미흡하다고 판단하여 앞으로는 사회적 거리 두기 관람 지침을 보다 엄격히 적용하기로 했다"고 밝혔다.

롯데는 기존 예매가 진행되었던 다음 달 2일까지 예매를 일괄 취소하고 좌석 간격을 3칸 이상 넓혀 예약이 진행될 수 있도록 조정했다.

1루 쪽 관중을 3루와 중앙 쪽으로 넓게 분산 시켜 예매를 진행했다.

일부 관중이 자리를 옮겨 붙어 앉게 되면 곧바로 안내요원이 다가와 좌석을 이동할 것을 요청했다.

좌석에서 금지된 음식물 섭취도 거의 눈에 띄지 않았다.

롯데 자이언츠 관계자는 "지난 홈경기 때 사회적 거리 두기가 미흡했던 것을 인정하고 이번 경기는 더 철저하게 방역수칙이 지켜질 수 있도록 준비했다"며 "계속해서 더 철저하게 관리해 야구팬들이 안심하고 프로야구를 관람 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
