(경주=연합뉴스) 손대성 기자 = 경북 경주에 있는 경주대와 서라벌대의 옛 재단 측 인사가 교육부 장관을 상대로 임시이사 선임을 취소해달라며 낸 소송에서 졌다.

17일 '사학 건전성 강화와 경주대·서라벌대 정상화를 위한 공동대책위원회'(공대위)에 따르면 서울행정법원은 전날 학교법인 원석학원 옛 재단 이사 2명이 교육부 장관을 상대로 낸 임시이사 선임처분 취소 소송에서 원고 패소로 판결했다.

교육부와 사학분쟁조정위원회는 2017년 12월에 학교법인 원석학원을 상대로 종합감사한 끝에 각종 비리를 적발하자 2019년 1월 개방 이사 1명을 제외한 나머지 7명의 이사 승인을 취소하고 관선이사 7명을 파견했다.

이에 원석학원 옛 재단 이사 2명은 교육부 장관을 상대로 임시이사 선임을 취소해달라는 소송을 냈다.

원석학원은 산하에 경주대, 서라벌대, 신라고를 두고 있다.

원석학원은 4선 국회의원을 지낸 김일윤씨가 1981년 설립했다.

경주대는 오랫동안 학내 분쟁을 겪었고 교육부 구조조정 대상인 재정지원제한대학에 포함됐다.

현재 교육부가 파견한 임시이사 7명 가운데 4명이 사임한 상태다.
