대학생·취준생 절반 "비대면 채용 긍정적…새로운 흐름"

"감염 위험 줄이고 시간·비용 절약"…평가 공정성·부정행위 우려도

(서울=연합뉴스) 고유선 기자 = 대학생과 취업준비생, 직장인 절반 이상이 최근 증가하는 기업의 비대면 채용에 대해 긍정적으로 생각하는 것으로 조사됐다.

29일 YBM 한국TOEIC위원회에 따르면 토익정보 블로그 '토익스토리'를 방문한 대학생, 취업준비생, 직장인 1천882명을 대상으로 한 조사에서 응답자의 52.8%가 비대면 채용에 대해 '긍정적'이라고 답했다.

그 이유(복수 응답)로는 최근 확산하는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)을 우려한 듯 '대면 채용을 통한 감염 위험을 줄일 수 있어서'(70.4%)를 꼽은 응답자가 가장 많았다.

이밖에 '채용 절차에 드는 시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있어서'(59.8%), '대면 면접에서 비롯되는 긴장과 부담을 줄일 수 있어서'(49.9%), '채용의 공정성과 정확성이 더 높을 것 같아서'(27.5%) 등의 응답이 뒤를 이었다.

비대면 채용을 부정적으로 바라보는 이들은 '정확한 평가가 이루어지지 않을 것 같아서'(85.4%), '대리시험 등 부정행위의 위험이 커서'(52.5%) 등을 이유로 꼽았다.

다만, 응답자의 87.0%는 비대면 채용을 실제로 경험한 적이 없다고 밝혔다.

비대면 채용의 미래에 관한 질문에 62.5%는 '새로운 채용 방식으로 자리 잡을 것'이라고 답해 '일시적인 현상에 그칠 것'(37.5%)이라는 응답 비율을 크게 웃돌았다.

새로운 채용 방식으로 자리 잡을 것이라고 생각하는 이유를 묻자 '시대의 흐름이므로'(64.6%), '비용 등 운영상의 장점'(53.9%) 등의 답변이 나왔다.
