시당 대변인단은 28일 울산시의회 프레스센터에서 기자회견을 열고 "김 구청장이 어제 업무에 복귀했는데, 뻔뻔하고 몰상식한 행태를 지켜보는 울산시민과 남구민 심정은 정말 참담할 따름"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.

대변인단은 "구청장은 구민과 구 행정을 위해서 사퇴하는 것이 마땅하다"며 "구민을 조금이라도 생각한다면 이제는 책임 있는 모습을 보여라"고 촉구했다.

대변인단은 이어 "민주당도 책임 있는 여당이라면 이 같은 사태를 더는 방관하지 말고 지금이라도 무자격자 후보를 사퇴시키고, 그동안 멈춰있어야만 했던 구 행정에 대해 진심 어린 사죄를 해야 할 것"이라고 강조했다.
