(서울=연합뉴스) 나확진 기자 = 미래통합당 이명수 의원은 최근 고(故) 박원순 전 서울시장의 성추행 의혹과 관련해 '이순신 장군도 관노와 잠자리를 했다'는 글이 인터넷에 퍼진 데 대해 허위사실이라고 주장했다.

이순신 장군이 성장한 충남 아산 출신인 이 의원은 14일 성명을 내고 "난중일기를 연구해 온 전문 연구가들로부터 자문해 종합한 결과, 이순신 장군이 관노와 잠을 잤다는 것은 전혀 사실이 아니다"라고 밝혔다.

그는 "난중일기의 '여진', '여진입', '여진삽' 등의 구절을 놓고 1935년 일본에서 최초로 '이순신 장군과 여진이라는 관기가 성관계를 했다'고 해석한 것이 논란의 발단이 됐다"고 지적했다.

이어 "당시 조선의 호남지방에 많이 이주해 살고 있던 여진족과 생활을 의미하거나 글자 그대로 '여진·여진입·여진삽'이라는 이름으로 해석해야 한다는 것이 전문가들의 정설"이라고 설명했다.

또 "'저녁에 여산의 관노의 집에서 잤다(夕宿于礪山官奴家)'는 문구도 논란이 됐지만, 이는 장군이 백의종군하러 가던 중 여산 관아의 사내종 집에서 하룻밤 유숙한 것으로 여인과는 아무런 관련이 없다"면서 "관노(官奴)는 남자종을, '잘 숙(宿)'은 단순히 숙박을 뜻한다는 게 전문 연구가들의 견해"라고 덧붙였다.

이 의원은 "박 전 시장의 성추행 혐의를 물타기 하기 위해 위대한 영웅을 허위사실에 근거해 비교 인물로 등장시킨 것은 국민적 명예를 훼손하는 것"이라며 "이순신 장군을 이념 편향의 도구로 악용하는 일이 없기 바란다"고 강조했다.
