(부산=연합뉴스) 김선호 기자 = 지난달 집합금지 명령을 내려 포커대회를 무산시킨 부산시가 이번 주말 도심에서 또 포커대회가 열린다는 첩보를 입수해 현장 점검에 나섰다.

부산시는 K사가 부산에서 200명 이상이 모이는 전국 규모 포커대회를 개최한다는 첩보에 대한 사실관계를 확인하고 있다고 17일 밝혔다.

부산시와 포커업계 등에 따르면 K사는 17∼19일 부산지역 8개 매장과 호텔 등지에서 전국 포커대회를 연다.

지역에서 예선전을 거친 본선 진출자 200여 명이 포커대회에 참가해 승자 수십명이 따로 결승전을 벌이는 형태인 것으로 알려졌다.

1등은 6천만원 상당, 2등에겐 3천만원 상당 부상이 수여된다.

지난 5월 제주에서 포커대회를 연 K사는 지난달 19∼21일에도 부산 남구 한 호텔에서 대규모 포커대회를 열어 물의를 일으켰다.

당시 K사는 직원교육이라고 둘러대며 포커대회를 강행했다.

K사는 이번에도 '월례행사, VIP 초청 워크숍'이라는 이름으로 대회를 공지한 상태다.

앞서 부산시는 K사에 이어 지난달 25일 카드 게임 온라인 사이트 J사가 부산에서 포커대회를 열려고 하자 감염병 예방 및 관리에 관한 법률에 근거해 집합금지 명령을 내려 행사를 무산시켰다.

부산시가 발동한 집합금지 명령 대상은 부산 시내에서 열리는 모든 포커대회 주최자와 참석자가 해당한다. 명령 적용 기간도 포커대회가 끝날 때까지다.

시는 이번 포커대회 주최자와 참석자 역시 집합금지 명령 대상에 포함되는 만큼 현장 점검을 벌여 포커대회를 막고 강행할 경우 사법기관에 고발하겠다고 밝혔다.

감염병예방법에 따르면 집합금지 명령 위반자에게는 300만원 이하의 벌금이 부과될 수 있다.

부산시는 포커대회 강행으로 코로나19 방역 활동에 피해와 손해를 입힐 경우에는 행정처분과는 별개로 민사상 손해배상도 청구하는 등 엄정히 대응한다는 방침이다.
