광주서 확진자 격리해제 후 바이러스 재검출…"감염 위험 없어"

(광주=연합뉴스) 손상원 기자 = 격리 해제된 코로나19 확진자에게서 바이러스가 다시 검출됐다.

18일 광주시에 따르면 광주 69번 확진자는 최근 유전자 증폭 검사(PCR)에서 바이러스가 재검출됐다.

퇴원 후 2주간 환자의 상태를 모니터링하는 과정에서 기침 등 증상이 있어 검사했다고 방역 당국은 전했다.

이 확진자는 광주 사랑교회 관련 접촉자로 지난 1일 확진 판정을 받고 입원 치료를 하다가 15일 퇴원과 함께 격리 해제됐다.

퇴원 후 검사에서 바이러스가 검출된 것은 광주에서는 두 번째, 전국적으로는 400건이 넘는 것으로 알려졌다.

방역 당국은 '재양성' 대신 '격리해제 후 유전자 증폭 재검출'로 정의하면서 타인 감염을 우려할 필요는 없는 것으로 판단했다.

당국은 별도 접촉자를 파악하지 않는 수동 감시를 하고 의료진과 증상 치료 방안을 논의하기로 했다.
