(서울=연합뉴스) 정성조 기자 = 박원순 전 서울시장의 사망 경위를 수사하고 있는 경찰이 유류품으로 발견된 휴대전화의 비밀번호를 22일 해제했다.

서울지방경찰청 '박원순 사건' 태스크포스(TF)는 "오늘 오후 유족 대리인과 서울시 측의 참여하에 휴대폰 봉인해제 등 디지털포렌식 작업에 착수했다"고 밝혔다.

경찰 관계자는 "휴대폰 비밀번호를 풀어 포렌식 절차를 진행 중"이라며 "분석이 마무리되는 대로 선별 절차 등을 거쳐 자료를 확보하고 계속 수사를 진행할 것"이라고 말했다.

박 전 시장의 업무용 휴대전화는 최신형 아이폰으로 비밀번호 해제에 상당한 기간이 걸릴 것이라는 예상이 나오기도 했다. 경찰은 비밀번호를 제보해준 사람이 있었다고 설명했다.

휴대전화는 열렸지만 일단 수사는 박 전 시장의 사망 경위를 밝히는 데 국한된 상황이다. 성추행 방조 의혹이나 고소 사실 유출 등의 추가 수사를 위해서는 휴대전화의 해당 내용을 들여다볼 수 있는 관련 영장이 필요하기 때문이다.

경찰은 일단 휴대전화 분석에 착수한 뒤 추가 영장을 신청할지 여부 등을 검토할 것으로 전해졌다.
