(서울=연합뉴스) 임동근 기자 = 문화재청 궁능유적본부 경복궁관리소는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)으로 올해 하지 못했던 '경회루 특별관람'을 22일부터 10월 31일까지 진행한다고 21일 밝혔다.

경회루(慶會樓·국보 제224호)는 근정전 북서쪽 연못 안에 세워진 대규모 2층 누각으로, 왕이 신하들과 연회를 베풀거나 사신을 접대하고, 기우제를 지낼 때 사용됐다.

특별관람에 참여하면 연못과 조화를 이루는 경회루의 웅장한 건축미를 감상할 수 있고, 평소 출입이 통제되는 2층에 올라 경복궁 전경과 아름다운 인왕산을 바라볼 수 있다.

특별관람은 전문해설사와 동행하며, 소요 시간은 30∼40분이다. 오전 10시, 오후 2시, 오후 4시 등 1일 3회 운영된다. 사전예약제로 운영되며 회당 정원은 내국인 15명, 외국인 5명이다. 관람료는 무료.

경복궁관리소 누리집(www.royalpalace.go.kr)에서 1인당 2명까지 예약할 수 있다. 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 마스크 착용과 발열 여부를 점검하고, 안전거리 확보 등 방역 수칙과 관람객 감염 예방을 위한 안전대책을 적용해 운영한다.
