중국, '대만 무기판매' 록히드마틴 제재 예고…"연합훈련 반대"

(베이징=연합뉴스) 김진방 특파원 = 미국과 중국이 대만해협에서 갈등 수위를 높이며 군사적 긴장감이 고조되는 가운데 중국이 대만에 무기를 판매하기로 한 미국 군수기업인 록히드마틴에 제재를 예고했다.

자오리젠(趙立堅) 중국 외교부 대변인은 14일 정례 브리핑에서 대만에 무기를 판매하기로 한 록히드마틴에 대한 평론을 요구받고 이 같이 밝혔다.

자오 대변인은 "중국은 미국이 대만에 무기를 판매하는 것을 결연히 반대한다"면서 "미국은 하나의 중국 원칙과 중·미 3대 연합 공보(미중 간 상호 불간섭과 대만 무기 수출 감축 등을 둘러싼 양국 간 합의)를 준수해야 한다"고 촉구했다.

그는 이어 "중국은 미국이 대만에 무기를 판매하고, 대만과 연합훈련을 하는 것을 중단하기를 바란다"며 "이는 중미관계와 대만해협의 평화와 안정을 훼손한다"고 강조했다.

그러면서 "중국은 국가 이익을 결연히 수호할 것"이라며 "대만 무기 판매를 주요 담당 기업인 록히드마틴에 대해서도 필요한 조처를 할 것"이라고 경고했다.

앞서 미국 국무부는 9일(현지시간) 대만이 이미 구매한 탄도미사일 요격체계인 패트리엇(PAC-3)의 생명을 30년 늘릴 수 있도록 관련 부품을 살 수 있는 6억2천만 달러(약 7천451억 원) 규모의 무기 거래도 승인한 바 있다.
