(서울=연합뉴스) 이보배 강민경 홍규빈 기자 = 민주당은 13일 박원순 서울시장의 장례 절차가 마무리된 이후 고인의 성추행 의혹에 대한 대응 기조를 정하지 못한 채 고심하는 모습을 보였다.

일단 의혹의 한쪽 당사자인 박 시장의 사망으로 실체적 진실 규명이 어려워진 만큼 당 차원의 대응은 쉽지 않다는 의견이 많았다.

진성준 의원은 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중'에서 "논란이 되는 문제에 대해서 필요하다면 조사가 이뤄질 수 있겠지만 가해자로 지목되고 있는 분이 타계한 상황에서 진실이 드러날 수 있겠는가 하는 문제가 여전히 남아 있다"고 말했다.

양향자 의원은 YTN 라디오 '노영희의 출발 새아침'에 출연해 "이 상황에서는 고소인, 고인과 그 가족까지 다 보호받아야 한다"며 "아직 밝혀진 것이 없는데 마치 사실로 규정해서 말하는 것은 해서는 안 될 일"이라고 했다.

한 재선 의원은 연합뉴스와 통화에서 "박 시장의 경우 방어권이 제로인 상태인데 확인이 안 되는 얘기를 하는 것 자체가 어불성설"이라고 말했다.

노웅래 의원은 페이스북에서 "고인은 죽음으로 모든 것을 말했다"며 "고인에 대한 과도한 정쟁 및 희화화, 지나친 옹호도 생산적이지 않다. 고인이 남긴 공과 모두 역사로 받아들여야 한다"고 밝혔다.

이형석 최고위원도 "인권 활동가이자 3선 서울시장 업적이 있는 고인의 명예를 훼손하는 언행은 삼가는 것이 도리"라고 지적했다.

당내에서는 박 시장의 업적에 대한 지나친 미화와 2차 가해 행위로 고소인의 목소리가 덮여서는 안 된다는 목소리도 나온다.

박주민 최고위원은 최고위원회의에서 "고소인에 대한 도 넘은 공격과 비난은 멈춰져야 한다"면서 "아마 제가 아는 박 시장이라면 그것을 간절히 원할 것"이라고 했다.

김해영 최고위원은 "피해 고소인에 대한 비난과 2차 가해는 절대 있어서는 안 될 것"이라며 "향후 당 소속 고위공직자의 불미스러운 일이 발생하지 않도록 당 차원의 성찰과 대책이 필요할 것"이라고 말했다.

한 중진 의원은 "아무리 일방적 주장이라 해도 고소한 사람이 존재한다는 것을 부정할 순 없다. 고소인의 억울함을 덮자는 것에 대해선 동의하지 않는다"며 "사회 곳곳에서 반복되는 이 문제를 어떻게 풀 것인지 근본적인 문제점을 찾아야 한다"고 강조했다.
