러 선원부터 우리 수리공까지…무서운 확산세에 부산항 전전긍긍

수리직원들 부두 출입증으로 전체 항만 이동…대책 마련 쉽지 않아

무더기 확진 감천항 러 선박들 정박 문제도 골치…항운노조 "옮겨달라"

(부산=연합뉴스) 박성제 기자 = 러시아 선박 선원에서 시작된 부산항 코로나19 확진자가 연일 쏟아져 부산 항만업계가 전전긍긍하고 있다.

25일 부산시와 검역당국 등에 따르면 부산항 러시아 선박에 작업차 승선했던 부산지역 선박수리업체 A사 내국인 직원(157번)이 이달 23일 코로나19 확진 판정을 받은 이후 현재까지 A사 확진자가 8명으로 늘어났다.

이들 8명 거주지는 부산이고, 8명 중 장기 체류 중국인 근로자(159번) 1명을 제외한 7명은 모두 내국인이다.

항만 방역 비상

아직 정확한 역학조사 결과는 나오지 않았으나 추가 감염이 속출할 것이라는 우려도 나온다.

선박수리 업계 특성상 작업자들은 부두 간 자유롭게 이동하기 때문이다.

항만 내 상주기관 관계자는 "선박수리업체 직원은 부두 출입증으로 부산항 전체를 돌아다닐 수 있다"며 "이런 특성 탓에 항만 현장에서 대책을 세우기 쉽지 않다"고 말했다.

더구나 수리하러 들어온 배에는 일반적으로 한 번에 여러 군데를 수리받기 때문에 다양한 업체 직원이 승선할 수밖에 없다.

항만업계는 다수 직원이 확진자가 나온 배에 올랐다가 각자 지역 사회로 흩어져 감염을 확산하게 되지 않을지 우려하고 있다.

실제로 지난 16일 부산 감천항에 입항했다가 영도구 한 수리조선소로 옮긴 러시아 선적 원양어선 레귤호(825t)에도 여러 선박수리업체 직원이 승선한 것으로 나타나 항만 내 불안이 커지기도 했다.

이에 부산항운노조 등은 최근 지역사회 확진자가 속출하자 항만에서 일하는 노동자 사이 교류도 금지하는 등 접촉을 최소화하는 데에 안간힘을 쓰고 있다.

부산항운노조 관계자는 "초기에는 러시아 선원과 접촉하지 말라고 공지했다가, 이제는 아예 노조원 이외 직원과는 접촉하지 말 것을 당부하고 있다"고 말했다.

부산항 입항한 러시아 선박

이런 상황에서 부산 감천항에서 계속해서 확진자가 나오자 확진자가 나온 선박을 감천항 이외 선석으로 옮겨야 한다는 목소리도 높다.

한 달 새 감천항과 관련된 러시아 선박 확진자 수는 46명에 달한다.

평균적으로 확진자가 나온 선박은 확진자 치료와 격리 기간 등을 포함해 감천항에 최소 14일 정도 정박한다.

이후에도 확진자가 추가로 나오는 등 상황이 장기화하면 문제가 더 커진다.

하역 작업이 이뤄지지 않아 항운노조원 생계가 어려워지고, 설상가상으로 수산물 공급에도 차질이 생길 수 있다.

항운노조 관계자는 "냉동과 냉장 수산물 하역 작업은 특성상 감천항 1∼3부두에서만 가능하다"며 "대책이 마련되지 않으면 선석이 가득 차버릴 것"이라고 말했다.
