(서울=연합뉴스) 박원희 기자 = 한국거래소는 내달 8일부터 유가증권시장 자율공시 항목에 '이사회 성별 구성의무 준수 여부'를 신설한다고 지난 17일 밝혔다.

자산총액이 2조원 이상인 주권상장법인은 이사회의 이사 전원을 특정 성(性)의 이사로 구성하지 못하도록 규정한 개정 자본시장과 금융투자업에 관한 법률(자본시장법)이 내달 5일 시행을 앞둔 데 따른 후속 조치다.

거래소 관계자는 "투자자에 대한 환기 차원에서 이사회의 성별 구성 상황, 구성 의무 준수 여부 등을 자율 공시하도록 했다"고 설명했다.

거래소는 오는 24일까지 이런 내용을 담은 유가증권시장 공시 규정 개정세칙안에 대한 의견을 접수한다.
