(광주=연합뉴스) 전승현 기자 = 광주전남 상생 미래전략산업으로 에너지신산업과 첨단운송기기를 육성해야 한다는 주장이 나왔다.

전남대 미래위원회 상임위원인 나주몽 교수는 28일 광주전남지역대학교 총장협의회 주최로 열리는 제3회 지역사회 포럼에 앞서 27일 배포한 '지자체-대학 협력기반 광주전남지역 혁신플랫폼 전략' 주제 발표문에서 이같이 주장했다.

나 교수는 "무인 항공 제조, 초소형 전기 산업의 내수 시장 태동기가 본격적으로 시작했다"며 "광주는 빛고을 산단 등에 광주형 일자리 모델을 통한 자동차 밸리와 관련한 미래형 운송기기 육성이 추진돼야 한다"고 말했다.

이어 "전남은 국가종합비행성능시험장, 고흥 항공센터, 영광 대마 산단 e-모빌리티 연구센터 등 인프라 구축 완료로 향후 첨단운송기기 육성이 필요하다"고 밝혔다.

그는 또 "에너지신산업과 첨단운송기기는 친환경, 고기능, 고부가가치 특화제품에 대한 신규 수요에 능동적으로 지속해서 대응할 수 있는 분야"라며 "특히 드론산업과 e-모빌리티산업은 이차전지, 연료전지 등 전기에너지의 수요처로 에너지산업과 운송기기 분야의 상호 연계를 통한 시너지 전략을 수립할 필요가 있다"고 제안했다.

나 교수는 그간 지역대학과 지자체 산업간 연계가 미흡했고, 따라서 지역혁신의 한계가 있었다고 지적했다.

이에 따라 나 교수는 에너지신산업과 첨단 운송기기를 육성하려면 지역 대학이 지역혁신의 선도 주체로서 지자체뿐 아니라 기관들과 산학 협력 체계를 구축해야 한다고 강조했다.

나 교수는 "광주전남은 포스트 코로나 시대, 경제·사회구조 변화에 대응하고, 한국판 뉴딜정책 추진에 따른 기회를 활용해야 한다"며 "국가 주도사업을 지역경제 활성화 계기로 삼아야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
