벨기에, 상점·영화관 등서 마스크 착용 의무화

(브뤼셀=연합뉴스) 김정은 특파원 = 벨기에 정부가 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확산을 막기 위해 11일(현지시간)부터 상점, 영화관 등 일부 실내 공간에서 마스크 착용을 의무화했다.

현지 일간 '라 리브르 벨지크'에 따르면 이날부터 상점, 쇼핑센터, 영화관, 공연장, 회의장, 예배소, 박물관, 도서관, 카지노 등 일부 실내 공간에서는 반드시 마스크를 써야 한다.

이를 지키지 않을 경우 250유로(약 34만원)의 벌금을 부과받게 된다. 또 이 규정을 거듭 위반하는 시설은 최대 750유로(약 102만원)의 벌금과 함께 문을 닫게 될 수 있다.

벨기에는 앞서 대중교통을 이용할 때와 미용실 등 가까운 접촉이 필요한 사업장에서 마스크 착용을 의무화한 데 이어 이번에 그 대상을 확대한 것이다. 마스크 의무 착용 장소는 향후 코로나19 상황에 따라 더 늘어날 수 있다.

단, 12세 미만의 어린이와 의학적 이유로 마스크 착용이 어려운 사람은 대상에서 제외된다.
