건강보험, 방역지원인력 5천288명 채용해 의료기관 지원

정부 '코로나19 방역지원 사업' 위탁 수행

(서울=연합뉴스) 신선미 기자 = 국민건강보험공단은 정부의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 방역지원 사업을 위탁 수행하기로 하고, 방역지원 인력 5천288명을 채용한다고 15일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 코로나19 사태 장기화로 어려움을 겪는 의료기관에 인력을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

사업에는 국비 467억원이 투입되는데 이 가운데 444억원은 인건비, 23억원은 위탁기관 운영비로 쓰인다.

건강보험공단은 이번에 채용하는 인력을 다음 달 14일부터 12월 14일까지 4개월간 인력 배정을 희망하는 병원급 이상 의료기관과 보건소 등에 배치할 예정이다.

지원 규모는 의료기관의 병상 규모와 특성에 따라 달라진다.

강청희 건강보험공단 급여상임이사는 "의료기관에 대한 정부의 방역지원 사업을 적극 수행해 코로나19 대응에 있어 '보험자'로서 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
