쓰레기 소각시설 공사 5년간 담합한 2개사에 과징금 10억원

(세종=연합뉴스) 정수연 기자 = 쓰레기 소각시설 공사 입찰에서 5년 동안 담합한 2개 업체가 과징금을 물게 됐다.

공정거래위원회는 입찰 담합으로 공정거래법을 위반한 ㈜대경에스코와 ㈜조선내화이엔지에 시정명령과 함께 9억8천800만원의 과징금을 부과하기로 했다고 28일 밝혔다.

2010년부터 2015년까지 지자체가 발주한 13건의 생활폐기물 소각로 설치공사 입찰에서 대경에스코는 조선내화이엔지를 들러리로 내세운 다음 입찰을 싹쓸이했다.

공정위는 이에 대경에스코에 과징금 6억7천200만원, 조선내화이엔지에는 3억1천600만원을 물리기로 결정했다.

공정위 관계자는 "입찰 들러리를 서는 대신 다른 방식으로 경제적 이득을 취하는 경우가 있어 담합하기로 한 사업자 모두를 제재하고 있다"며 "앞으로도 공공사업 실시 과정에서 발생하는 담합에 대한 감시를 강화할 것"이라고 말했다.
