(베이징=연합뉴스) 김윤구 특파원 = 중국 남방 지역에서 한 달 넘게 계속되는 폭우로 양쯔강(창장·長江) 등 주요 강의 수위가 급격히 높아져 우려가 일고 있다.

13일 관영 CCTV에 따르면 예젠춘(葉建春) 중국 수리부 부부장(차관)은 이날 국무원 브리핑에서 전국적으로 433개의 하천에서 경계 수위를 넘는 홍수가 발생했다고 밝혔다. 특히 이 가운데 33곳은 사상 최고 수위를 기록했다.

창장과 황허(黃河) 상류, 주장(珠江) 유역과 타이후(太湖) 등지에서 홍수가 났다.

현재 창장 본류 일부 구간과 대형 호수인 둥팅후, 포양후, 타이후는 경계 수위를 넘은 상황이다.

창장 유역의 6월 1일∼7월 9일 평균 강수량은 369.9㎜로 대홍수가 있었던 1998년 같은 기간보다 54.8㎜ 많으며 1961년 이후 역대 2번째라고 신경보는 전했다. 22년 전보다 강한 비가 내린 기간이 길고 영향권도 더 넓은 것이 특징이다.

예 부부장은 현재 창장과 타이후 유역의 상황이 심각하다고 말했다. 이어 이달 하순에서 다음 달 초순에는 화베이(華北)와 둥베이(東北) 지역에 홍수가 발생할 수 있다고 덧붙였다.

중앙기상대는 창장 중하류를 중심으로 일부 지역에서는 이날부터 16일까지 다시 폭우가 올 것으로 예상했다.

장시(江西)와 안후이(安徽), 후베이(湖北), 후난(湖南) 등지에서 전날까지 3천789만명의 이재민이 발생했다. 141명이 사망하거나 실종됐으며 224만6천명이 피난했다.

주택 2만8천채가 파손되고 농경지 353만2천헥타르가 물에 잠겼으며, 직접 경제손실은 822억3천만위안(약 14조1천억원)에 이른다.

시진핑 중국 국가주석은 전날 "지금은 홍수 방지의 결정적 시기"라면서 "더욱 강력하고 효과적인 조치로 인민의 생명과 재산을 보호하도록 최대한 노력해야 한다"고 지시했다.
